Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to Shirtly Limited ("Shirtly", "we", "us", "our"). We operate the Shirtly platform (the "Platform"), enabling users to buy and sell second-hand and classic football shirts.

By creating an account or using Shirtly, you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Our role
- Shirtly is a marketplace, not a seller.
- We connect buyers and sellers but do not own, inspect, or guarantee listed items.
- Future updates may introduce third-party authentication services, but Shirtly provides no authenticity guarantees at launch.
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older.
- For the MVP phase, Shirtly is restricted to UK-based users only.
- One account per person - multiple accounts are prohibited.
4. Seller responsibilities
Sellers must:
- Provide accurate descriptions and mandatory images, including product codes.
- Select a shirt condition: New, Like New, Good, Vintage.
- Comply with Shirtly's Authenticity Rules (Appendix B).
Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring items are genuine. Counterfeits, replicas, and infringements are strictly prohibited (see Appendix A).
5. Fees & payments
- Service fee: 6% per completed transaction.
- Fixed fee: £0.75 per item sold.
- Subscriptions: £5.99/month, £16.99/quarter, or £64.99/year.
- Promoted listings: £1 per 7-day boost.
Payments are handled by Stripe Connect. Buyer funds are held securely until delivery is confirmed. Sellers are paid once delivery tracking confirms arrival, or the buyer manually confirms receipt.
6. Delivery & postage
- Shirtly provides integrated Royal Mail and Evri labels.
- A fixed postage fee is set by Shirtly and paid by buyers.
- Sellers must use provided labels to ensure tracking.
- Lost parcels: couriers are responsible, but Shirtly mediates disputes.
7. Returns, refunds & disputes
Buyers may request refunds for non-delivery, incorrect description, or suspected counterfeits. Shirtly will mediate disputes as follows:
- Buyer reports an issue.
- Seller provides evidence.
- Shirtly decides outcome.
Refunds may be issued directly to buyers from seller funds. See Appendix C for the full dispute resolution process.
8. Prohibited items
- Counterfeit or replica shirts.
- Offensive, abusive, or discriminatory content.
- Items violating third-party IP rights.
- Listings directing buyers off-platform.

9. Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, repeatedly list prohibited items, or engage in fraud or abusive conduct.
10. Liability limitations
Shirtly is not liable for the authenticity of items, delivery delays caused by couriers, or losses from prohibited item disputes. Our total liability is capped at the transaction value.
11. Changes to these terms
Shirtly may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes implies acceptance.
Appendix A - Prohibited items
- Counterfeit or replica shirts.
- Items infringing IP rights.
- Offensive or abusive material.
- Listings directing buyers off Shirtly.
Appendix B - Authenticity rules
Sellers must upload clear images showing shirt labels and product codes, and must input product codes during listing. Shirtly reserves the right to remove listings flagged for authenticity issues and suspend accounts suspected of counterfeit activity.
Appendix C - Dispute resolution process
- Buyer reports issue within 48 hours of delivery.
- Seller provides evidence within 72 hours.
- Shirtly investigates using tracking data, images, and communication history.
- Shirtly issues a decision - either refunding the buyer from seller funds, or releasing funds to the seller.
